Basil Hodge, jazz pianist at the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort

Heritage Awali was delighted to host the famous British jazz musician Basil Hodge for two exceptional nights.

The young English pianist has become an established figure of the London jazz scene during the past 10 years. Basil Hodge has been inspired by many musical masters - James Brown, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, among others, and his compositions distill a subtle blend of post-bop and Latin jazz.

Very early on in his life, Basil Hodge displayed a passion for the piano and, under the guidance of Tim Richards he studied successfully at Mannes College in New York and the prestigious Goldsmiths College in London.

The artist performs regularly at the Savoy Hotel in the Strand and has two albums to his credit: "My Guardian Angel" in 2003 and "Sound Reasoning" in 2009.
